Baomin Tian, PhD

Baomin Tian earned his PhD in Chemistry at New Mexico State University (USA) followed by a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Protein Engineering Network of Centers of Excellence at the University of Alberta. He has over twenty years of experience in protein chemistry and analytical chemistry. As Senior Scientist at Helix BioPharma Corp, Baomin’s work includes small scale process development, protein expression, refolding and purification, protein conjugation and labelling, as well as chemical characterization of protein conjugates. Baomin’s analytical method development expertise includes RP-HPLC, SEC, IEC, SDS-PAGE, and mass spectrometry including analysis of intact proteins and LC-MS/MS peptide mapping. Baomin has been with Helix since March 2004.
